Brunel Grey XS light surrounds extra fixing hole.....why ?
I just bought an xs brunel grey light surround and grille set online from a very reputable supplier of parts.

The light surrounds have come with three fixing holes on them where my original standard black ones only have two.

Anybody have any ideas why they would have three holes on them .

Apparently older side lights have 3 fixing holes compared to two for later version.

It's the other way around David, newer 2014 models have 3 holes and older have 2 - Don't know why though ?

I think its the other way round

older lamp( 2 piece lamp ) unit had 3 screw backing and the lense fitted to the backing by 2 screws

newer lamp ( lens and backing fixed together ) uses the 2 screws that used to hold the lens to hold the whole lamp

He's not talking about the lamps he's talking about the plastic surround that goes around the headlight and behind side light / indicator with the louvre in for the horn.

2014 model have three screw holes, 2013 and older have two screw holes Thumbs Up

Edit - to clarify, we are talking about the visible black screws that hold the plastic shroud on to the body Thumbs Up

With the indicator and sidelight securing the left hand side I wonder too where the third hole may be?

When I replaced my black surrounds with a Brunel 2014 take off from LRI solutions recently I just ignored the extra hole. Dunno why its there but as the black ones were the same weight etc I figured it didn't matter and it doesn't Thumbs Up
