Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Well, on saturday I deliver the car to an Indy to check the faults (together with the BAS thougths). According to him he check one sensor (I can hear quite well wich one due the noise in my office Embarassed ) that give erratic information outside the parameters and probably this will be the cause of the behavior.
He will check again with a new sensor the car tonigth to see if all working OK.

I will give you more info tomorrow.

Cheers! Eduardo

Finally was the air flowmeter that given some erratic values...

Cheers and thanks to all Eduardo

Great to hear that it is sorted Thumbs Up I am a bit surprised at the diagnosis, all the same, as your profile says that you have a 2.4Puma, not a 2.2Puma. Which means implicitly that you have a smoke-limitation strategy that is based upon air pressure (like an older "mechanical" Bosch system) not air mass. That means that your failure, if the smoke limitation was holding you back, would have had to be caused by an EGR incorrect operation leading to lower air pressure, or a failed boost pressure sensor. Both are not as likely as a failure in a true mass airflow control smoke limitation. So you truly have an enigma in your fleet!!! Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.

sorry what you said hasn't quite sunk in.....but.....

I beleive there's a mass air flow sensor and a mass air pressure sensor.

the MAP being at the junction of egr gas and fresh (intercooled) air just prior to the inlet manifold.

Yes, that's the one that is primarily responsible for smoke-limitation fueling on the Puma 2.4 Visteon strategy. If it was a smoke-limitation problem you were experiencing, I believe that it would be that sensor that would have to be faulty, although there are some weird interactions from the MAF meter as well in determining the maximum permitted fuel. If the MAF has fixed the issue, then that is great, and one to file for future reference. Hopefully you will have many more hours of happy motoring! Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.
