United Kingdom 2008 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Stornoway Grey
No real surprises there with costing it is a lot of metalwork etc. Look at how much campers cost? That you have there is a home from home in every sense with a lot more capability and practicality in my view than your average camper. Then again this is a Defender forum after all. Maybe not so positive on 'Campers Corner Forum perhaps?'

Who cares it's brilliant! Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

United Kingdom 2012 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Firenze Red
Hi Phil
I must admit the price took my breath away as my total cost to convert our 110 to a Dormobile (seats, wardrobe, cooker, water pump, watertank, lighting, inverter, and storage draw system ) came to £4500 total including labour ... Embarassed

I didnt go for the Domobile roof as that is Glass fiber, opens sideways and cant support a rack, which makes carrying our racing boats impossible with out.

This modification is about a third of the cost of the vehical value (07 TDCI) and will take a little time sorting as we'll need to 'pop over' to germany to have it fitted as well as the cost of the new roof... Whistle

However I'm putting a piggy bank away to pop the pennies into and hopefully get this mod sometime in the near future after I've fitted the espascer heater, double battery & split charge and a couple of other little things to the wagon. Thumbs Up

Campers are a dynamic project and are never finished - we all keep tweaking and 'improving' them! Thumbs Up Poppy - TDCI (Puma) 110XS 2.2 - Camper conversion - see the build here - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56530.html
Elgar -TDCI(Puma) 110XS Dormobile - now sold
