Woah! That looks likeits built to survive a zombie apocalypse! One mean looking truck. Two kids prevent me from copying your ideas, but give me 18 years when they're out and on their own and I might!

You don`t have to wait until your Kids are 18, they propose a solution with 1 or 2 back seats

I do like both of them, each has advantages/disadvantages.
I did sell the Boost ones when i mounted the Wolf rims with the BF Goodrige 255 keeping the 30mm wheelspacers on each side
Unfortunatly the ZU rims (my favourit) came on the marked just after i had bought the Wolf Rolling Eyes
I might get These one day in flat black Cool

Phil,

That is the most practical and best prepared Defender I have ever set eyes on in my personal view. Fantastic!!!

Thumbs Up

I am going to ask a couple of burning questions.....

How much would such a truck cost/cost you as is with all the kit?

For a 2002 TD5 it looks in perfect order. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

Rolling with laughter

Phil I'll spill the beans then you can......

Wonder if it's the same black hole that I'm throwing my money in to? Whistle Cool

Current total over and above the £22k I paid for the truck nearly five years ago.....£15,968:50 not taking into account what I got for the old items I swapped out and sold.

Don't be shy......I know it cost a pretty penny. My neighbour's just spent £42k on a camper and it doesn't look as good as your Landy. Thumbs Up

Well done! Lovely truck.... Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

^^^^ Off Topic Slightly.....

There's no helping some people. I fitted a £500 bluetooth rear view camera to his camper (to cut down on the wiring installation) that he insisted he wanted it operational when driving forwards too. It gave a fantastic crystal clear 180 degrees view on a 7" screen. FFS First outing he still managed to reverse it into a bollard causing £3k worth of damage.

As the back side of my landy has more or less no Windows, it is hard to see anything

Phil,
quick question - how much weight can you carry on the roof..? Question
I'm looking at pop top options and have not gone for one as yet as I carry Bikes, canoes and kyaks on the top reguarly, and looking at the web site it seems that the roof rack can hold a reasonable load.

do you know how much the pop top only would cost as I couldnt see that on the site? Whistle

The actual Price on the web-site from Ex-Tec for the roofs are as follows:

- the Version with soft sides (like a tent): 7.750 €
- the hard tent Version like mine (2. Picture): 9.990 €

What concerns the max. load - to be honest i couldn`t tell you, but i heard something around the 200 kg

Cheers Philip Smile
