I went through two large boxes (40sqft per box) and that has about done it. Made a huge difference to the Defender now. Would definitely do it again if I got another Defender. I took out Noisekiller to put Dynamat in and it is much better.

Noisekiller's engine cover blanket has lead in it. Are there any equivalent engine covers that have no lead, asbestos or other toxic substance in their construction?

How much Dynamat would I need for muffling transmission & road noise around the front seating area? I'm not troubled by teh rear space noise.

Has anyone insulated behind the console? Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

Have you looked at the big round pipe by your nearside rear mudflap when the engine is running? Confused

Not sure yet mate I'd have to count. Embarassed When I put in the wiring for my LED's I might have to whip the head lining out to get it in neatly and securely. Not to keen on the idea of just pushing the wires though and leaving them loose. No to mention the rattling aspect. Rolling Eyes Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

The front bulkhead matting is a pain to remove so i tend to undo the screws holding it in and pull it up and stick it back just enough to get the soundproofing up the foot wells Thumbs Up CSK Automotive
