United Kingdom 2002 Defender 90 Td5 CSW Epsom Green
Just thought I'd stick up my progress with this too. I'm doing my Td5 90 with Dynamat Extreme and Dynaliner. I had to take out the headlining recently so I thought I would start with the roof.

I used the rest of the bulk pack to do the floor of the tub and the rear door which now shuts with a real thud rather than a clang!

I'm hoping that as well as reducing noise, it will also add some insulation as my landy gets very hot in summer and very cold in winter. Looks like I'm going to need at least another bulk pack as I intend to do the rest of the roof/tub/seat boxes etc.

Cheers , how much Dynamat does it take to do an entire 110 then?

One more question, when you do the roof/doors do you remove the original land rover sound deadening or just go over it?

Usually get through 3-4 boxes for a complete job like this, it had dynaliner to footwells and gearbox aswell. When i soundproof the doors i cut a square sheet and tuck it in and go over the lr orignal "thing" Laughing they put on. Then heat the dynamat up with a heat gun and work the edges into the orignal lr stuff so theres no gaps Thumbs Up Thumbs Up CSK Automotive

Hi Appleby,
My 110 took 3 Dynamat Extreme Bulk packs with very little wastage and have gone through three rolls of Dynaliner, but will need another two at least with zero wastage. The problem with it is that after you've done the floors, doors, ceiling etc you start trying to find other places to put it Whistle
If I got another bulk pack I'd find somewhere to put it.
It probably works out cheaper to get Chris(cask) to do it. Def a lot less hassle!!

Yeah, I reckon my 90 is gonna take 3 bulk packs before it's done. I'm also going to do the whole roof in Dynaliner 1/4" and will probably fill the doors with 1/8" on top of dynamat. I'm also after peoples opinions on dynapad. I'm after a covering for the floor/bulkhead to remove road/engine/exhaust noise and try and keep the heat/cold out (keep the missus happy!).

I've done another car before (landy is alot easier to work on, not many trim panels to remove) and I can vouch for wearing gloves. I didn't notice while I was doing it but I ended up with lots of little slices all over my hands so I was more careful this time!

Nice job you are doing on you 110 Thumbs Up I thought of using Dynapad on the floor in my 130 trouble is as it's no a closed cell foam so would soak up any water leaks.
