Master or slave?
Just dragged a 2.5ton 8m boat back from Dartmouth to Anglesey today, got to Bristol and changed down to go up a hill and the clutch hit the floor. Doh! Have nursed it back, fun in this delightful weather.
!) If there is black scum on the top of the fluid in the master, does that indicate that the problem is there or could it also be the slave?
2) if it could be the slave, am I right in thinking it's located inside the bell-housing?

Too crappy outside for rolling around on the floor so thought I'd ask you lot... Wink

My money would be on seal in the Master ... you want to hope its not the slave ... gearbox out jobbie Evil or Very Mad Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.

Check for leaks. Have you lost any fluid??

If not then I would bleed through some fresh & see what happens. Easy enough to do before you get the box pulled out

If you do then I would through a new clutch in while your in there. I would Thumbs Up Chris
