LR extended warrenty on Pumas?
Whats the general consensus on the LR extended warrenty . Mine came with it as part of the sale however I'm seeing threads on here and personal experiences are indicating its not all it could be .
I've had extended LR warrenty in the past on a RRS and it appeared to be cover issues found, including a lot of ECU replacements (Dash, door etc) without quibble but my puma warrenty doesnt appear to cover much in the way of electricals such as heater resistor pack (refused under warrenty) or rear hi level brake light 12v feed as its on the glass and both are wear and tear? Luckily for me these are being addressed by supplying dealer as they should have been addressed at time of sale and probably would be issues with sale of goods act for supplying with faults issues not commensurate with age etc so not whinging about them (though returning customer queries is a bit patchy).
So it begs the question is the LR Puma extended warrenty good for anything? mechanicals? or is it going to be wear and tear again?!
I could read the bumpf but its a bit thin and doesnt seem to mention much (maybe I need to search for small print somewhere) but its always nice to know others experiences, misery loves company and all that Smile 2023 110 P400e

There are a few posts on this subject, i even added one as well Confused

My 90 is now 3yrs and 1 month old. After very serious thought I decided that I would save the warranty money against any potenial repairs, after all mine has been very reliable and the warranty fixes have either been rust side step type issues or windscreen. The only proper warrant issue I had was early in yr 1 re a fuel rail sensor thingy [?] can't remember the correct name.

Funnily enough......the cost of the warranty is about the same as a re-map Whistle BM52

What puts me off is that you still have to pay to get the thing serviced on top. So far my warranty work has only cost LR a few hundred (4 months extended warranty)... servicing has cost me rather more Shocked
Plus I still wouldn't be able to fit my X-Brake, intercooler etc. Wink

So no! Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

Cheers all (esp K9f -my search fu was weak on this one- basically I trawled the forum rather than searching - Embarassed )
Seems like the extended "LR" warrently is a steaming pile of poo that gives a vague impression it covers stuff but in reality doesnt.

Sad but it seems to be more prevelant these days with fine print escape clauses being used more and more,until regulators declare these unfair practice and give every one compensation, which will just be paid for by the punters anyway (ooops offtopic rant off) 2023 110 P400e

Most extended warranties aren't worth the paper they are written on. They are covered by an insurance company, and usually have nothing to do with the manufacturer, unlike the actual warranty when you buy the car.
