I've been busy over the holidays ....

The twin battery kit was supplied by Tim at Mobile Centre and at the risk of being accused of 'bigging up' fellow sponsors, it really is a quality bit of kit with a 'Beautiful' stainless steel battery tray that once it's fitted, you can't see Crying or Very sad

Mobile Centre supply the parts to mount the accessory fuse board in the battery compartment but I've opted to place it under the drivers seat where there is more room - hence the 70mm cable ....

Although it looks complicated infact there isn't a lot to the Puma dash, removal took 30mins tops and that included removing the (stubborn) steering wheel !

So far I've fitted the twin battery set up, intelligent charger, aux fuse board, kill switch for winch (in an FCX battery kill box of course) and Cruise control.

I've run cables to the tailgate area for the additional reversing lights, rear camera, fridge power and LED hazard lights.

I've also run power and control cables to the rear seating area for two amps and powered sub.

Control cables are routed to the cubby switch box location and up to the roof for the new FCX roof console.

I'm not going to divulge 'Security' but there's a lot of it Thumbs Up

Still plenty to do but the leather is coming along nicely Cool

Very good. if you going for two Amps will be powerful too. Mr. Green I assume you'd probably going to go for a monoblock and a 4 channel? We're all quite lucky really too with the Defender having an alternator output of 120A I believe so can handle plenty of draw. I bet on Jap trucks you'd have to do "The big three" upgrade due to equipment drawing too much power for the alternator and system to handle.

P.s. Did you use Proflex cabling for your Amps? Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

I've used www.theloudest.com stuff, this amp for the rear 6 x 9's:

http://www.theloudest.co.uk/index.php?id=v...uct_id=147

and this amp for the front 4":

http://www.theloudest.co.uk/index.php?id=v...uct_id=146

the dash tweeters will be run from the head unit.

I used their wiring kits:

http://www.theloudest.co.uk/index.php?sect...duct_id=77

The 130 has a 150 amp alternator which is a bonus Mr. Green

PS - Just for you Steve I'm using the Kenwood powered sub ..... Thumbs Up

Excellent. Laughing All pretty powerful! Just be careful they have good air flow those amps as they are class A/B and not a class D. So might get warm. Thumbs Up Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

Would it not have been easier to measure up then remove the plate out of the footwell cut and then re-fit? Easier to get at then and no risk of anything getting cut underneath. Or am I missing something?

You could have done Steve but it wouldn't have been easier, you would have to break the factory mastic seal on the plate and then redo it afterwards and also have the hassle of holding the plate whilst cutting.

This was a five minute job from start to finish, really no need to remove the plate and there is nothing underneath to cut.
