As I use my Alan Multi 42 only temporarily I fixed it with 3M™ Dual Lock™ at the dashboad, easy to remove:



The driver's view to the display is well and I can operate it easily while driving:



An additional 12 V socket as well as the antenna cable are nearby

I bought an Albrecht CB with removable control panel - the main unit I velcro'd to the passenger side cubby box between the seat. This means I can de-mount the whole unit if I wish - e.g. going somewhere they don't like CBs or for security reasons. The Albrech removable panel I leave on the unit but it comes with an extension cable to mount the display/control panel to the dashboard if I wish.

I tried using just a handheld but the Utility wasn't great for RF reception and the speaker wasn't beefy enough to overcome rattles/engine/stereo.

I mounted 2x speakers one each above front seats just in front of the alpine lights - they just plug into the albrecht - and have a very short distance to your ears
