Internet lore tells that the calibration irons out tolerances in manufacture (and so optimizes mpg, responsiveness, whoknowswhat...).

Does anyone know if it is possible to upgrade a RRC to full spec IIDTool functionality? Seems to work the other way round, according to the BAS website.
I've got the BAS2 RRC for my MY11 Puma Defende ...

How do 2.2 owners get by??

@B4Lamb: Great writeup! Just opened the faulty valve: piston dulled at approx. 1/3rd circumference where it is located in the coil. No Pics due to crappy Iphone camera.

Hi John, no need to change the pressure sensor (relieve valve?) obviously, as all symptoms are gone.
In order of appearance I had: erratic idle, high fuel consumption, lack of power, motor stutters ...

I just replaced my VCV (literally). Because of your Pics of the recommended assembly of tools it was not as much of a hassle as it might have been, so thanks for that! Thumbs Up

I don't think this one-time greasing is sufficient. As written, (Almost) no grease remained in the spline, mine was as good as dry with lots of red dust in the housing.

One can only hope...
In the meantime I will try to get extra-sensitive for driveline-backlash.

Hate to say it, but I've found greasing them a waste of time. Unless you can keep greasing it the grease just dries out and becomes a rusty grinding paste on the splines.
