Yeah sorry 7 pin.if I fit 12s grey socket on defender do I still have to run a reverse wire to it from defender reverse light?

Trailer has 13 pin to 8 pin adaptor,defender has 8 pin but doesn’t seem to have reverse wired to plug,and I want reverse light working on trailer,what’s the story and wat way do I go about sorting it

Defender drives well and sounds well until you get to about 1500 revs,seems like she's suckling in air or something any help greatly appreciated
