you could always take out the sender unit and dip it in hot water vs when its cold.. stick a multimeter on it and see if its playing as expected .....

I should have added...when I ran an earth from the ECU to any good earth point ...ie bulkhead or my battery holder it also worked......so not "just" back to the main battery -ve...

The twin battery setup is pretty much as per the LRO configuration document ( also in in the haynes tuning book) so I have not changed the original earth.. from the starter battery to the chassis etc ...

Tried running a new earth cable from one of the ECU mount bolts directly to the battery.....no joy I'm afraid.. Crying or Very sad

yeah I think I'll try the earth cable..just in case...plus its cheap n easy..

But guessing that if the MSB101181 is a Disco ECU then i'm probably stuffed anyway..
