buying advice needed
I have finally found two possible options but could do with some advice.

Both are P400s with almost identical specs, one is a 2021 polaris white and one is a 2022 santorini black.

the 2021 is 12 months older, is matt vinyl wrapped and has 34k km. It has a tow hook, locking wheel nuts and premium LEDs w/high-beam assist. It is 80% of the new price.

The 2022 has less than 5000 km and is 90% of the new price. It has the console cup holder, upgraded cabin lighting, matrix LEDs and side steps.

Thoughts? Are the upgraded cabin lighting and matrix LEDs significant? Is 34k km (so about 20k miles) extra significant?

For me, the newer, lower-mileage one would be the one to go for. Aside from anything else, you've got 12 months more warranty available on the newer one, which is never a bad thing with a Land Rover product!

20k miles is a significant difference in the UK. We generally work on average annual mileage of 10k miles, so that equates to 2 years' worth of mileage difference. The white one is twice the age and over 6 times the mileage of the black one, which is a significant difference. 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

What the Green man said, buy the newer one at that sort of price difference.

I don't know about you guys, but white matte wrap suggests someone with a heavy accelerator foot..

If you can afford it, go for the newer one - as above. Warranty is important.

Also, resale of a black one will be easier, if that's something you're planning to do.

Thanks all. Now just need to sort the deal out with a slightly loony seller.

Newer one:
Matrix headlight are much better and have the adaptive driving beam I.e. full beam without dazzling other Road users.
Side steps are handy
Also start your 6,000 mile oil changes cycle straight away.

On the basis of the advice above I've put an offer in on the newer black one. BTW if you think it's expensive in the uk, try adding 130% tax on top here!

Hope there is some way of retrofitting heated seats though for those odd cold mornings...
