Fan / Clutch Part Number Question
I am trying to figure out which Part Number is the correct one I need for the radiator fan / Clutch assembly? I found PGG500340 and LR029997 - not sure how to tell which one I need since I do not have a chassis number associated with my 2.4 since I bought it second hand. The reference page I found with the two part numbers just differentiates by the VIN Number range. - thanks in advance.

Side note - need to test the fan clutch to confirm it is bad as I expect. What is the best way to test this? It is brutally cold here and I believe the fan is running constantly as my engine temperature is dropping at idle and only maintains on the highway.

- Mark

I see that you are now sorted, however you should find the VIN number on a plate in the bottom corner of the windscreen, as well as stamped into the chassis leg. > 110 XS Double Cab

Hank - This engine came out of another truck. I do not have a VIN from it as I bought it as a stand alone engine/tansmission that I put into my 1995 chassis and body.

Thank you for this link. From this I was able to see / test that the fan clutch is not engaging at startup and cold start. Embarrassed to also say that I did not see the part number molded into the fan blade when I was looking at this in the dark the other night. Today as it is warmer I pulled the shroud and see the part number on there now.

So seems that all is working mechanically and that possibly the cause is that I have over sized Allisport aluminum radiator and intercooler.

Thanks again!
