I donโt think youโll find one brand that covers everything. In fact Iโd be wary of those. Better finding the specialist in that particular item.
My advice would be to sit back, relax and not do anything straight away (or at least nothing permanent or very expensive) and instead do loads of reading first. If you are anything like me, what you thought you wanted when first getting the car soon changes. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS |

welcome, best advice would be before changing things, ensure that that vehicle works well, as you could drop 3K on a set of wheels and tyres and find out you need some suspension bushes, or other work like a clutch etc, so I would drive it like it is, and as items wear out then replace them with upgraded items. (well thats my plan, now how do I convince myself my seats are worn out and I need some Recaro sportster CS seats in my life
 ) Searching for my first Defender...and started just as Covid hit, so talk about timing.

After you do what has been suggested above, then can share what mods you plan or you like to have.
I see that there are 3 mainstreams of mods... I'd go with what Scotty38 says about security. Otherwise you may not have a Defender to modify

Funny, this night I had a nightmare...I dreamed buying a set of big shiny wheels for the defender. When I saw them mounted I wanted to get rid of them but couldn't. Then I woke up. Phew... Defender 110 SW MY2011 2.4tdci decat, no EGR

Another one for security first and then drive it for a while to see if you need / want to change anything

Steering stop lock adjustment is a good call, but aim for 5mm clearance instead of 15mm.
Also check brakes condition/function, handbrake operation, wheel bearings, grease propshaft splines and ujs, check swivels contain oil or grease, check/replace Fr & Rr diff oils, check/replace transfer box and gearbox oils, change engine oil & filter, inspect/replace air filter, inspect/replace ancillary belt. Not sure for later engines but for TDI engines REPLACE timing belt even if previous owner/seller says it has been done, unless you really, really, really believe them and still like to gamble! Flush cooling system and refill with the correct antifreeze/coolant. Most of the above are routine or essential service items but many owners seem to treat them like mods that are optional or might get done in the 'future'. Doing these can go a long way to making sure you are not left stranded at the roadside with an even bigger expense. Remember, 'Chrome don't get you home!' and flashy mods look shjt when you are on the back of a tow truck... |

I did most of the maintenance before I started to buy the shiny stuff I am now on my second round of maintenance but also more shiny stuff. Some stuff was needing to be replaced so I upgraded it at the same time as replacing.
