That’s a nice looking vehicle. Good tip to save stretching in too far as well. I guess if they rattle, you can just unclip them for normal usage.
Have you tried taking out the bottom part of the seats, to make the backs lay flat? I only learned of the ‘trick’ after I ordered mine, (still waiting), so haven’t had a chance to try it. One thing I wish they had done, (like they have on the newer MINIs), is provide a bracket that swivels 90 degrees, allowing the rear seats to lock in as they do at present, or, after rotating the bracket, allow the seats to lock in a more upright location. Making a more rectangular boot space, which is not an issue if there are no rear passengers. ... I can feel one of my first mods happening when I get the vehicle in the autumn. Many thanks for your reply.
No problem re rattles of the strap as you can store this around the centre sear headrest . Unfortunately the rear seats you are unable to pull up . This option I believe is only available on the 110 . However note your comments re the Mini seats . By the way when is your expected date . |

Have just seen a YouTube video showing that you can fully remove the rear Seat base and have flat storage in the 90.
Shame as the 110 option is best with rear seats lifting and storing below . With the 90 option you will have to store the full base Seat in the garage while you are using flat storage . |

Yep, that's the trick. It looks like they will go down almost flat, like those seen in some of the press photos.
Click image to enlarge I wasn't aware the lower seat could be removed at the time I had my test drive. But it was useful learn it could be. And leaving the base at home isn't a big problem if I know I'm going to pick something up with a larger volume. I'll probably make a small raised shelf when I get mine, so, for when needed, it makes the rear space all on one level, which will be useful on certain occasions. (I'm surprised JLR don't sell a 'convenience shelf' already for £500 ) I have to wait until September-ish to pick up mine. I ordered it last month, so am still in the holding pool.
