I had the same thoughts on the roof box Thumbs Up mine is about the same height as my roof tent, the plan is the box sits just in front of the tent and we can store all our clothes and bedding in it and access it while in the tent Thumbs Up
Our plan is the boat to Bilbao then head east to the med for a few days on the beach then back to Bilbao

Sometimes it is better to pay someone to do things you don't have time to. That's the piont of a guided trip, you pay for the guides knowledge and experience.

In an ideal world it would be nice to spend hours planning the route, where to stay etc.

Thats why we are going on a gudied trip. We don't have the time to plan the trip, which is a shame but we will still get to go and do a trip. Which is alot better than not going at all.

16 days is about the length we are going for, 12 on the trip then 2 days either end for the getting to and from uk. Lets hope to get some good weather and good trails.

At least this trip the guide won't be armed!. Hopefully there are on Polar Bears in France/Spain but you never know, global warming and all that.
