help with 90 commercial
hi guys

off to drive new defender tomorrow

went to see them other week

they had a 90 passenger one, and a 110 commercial

does anyone know if the 90 commercial has storage in the floor the same as the 110?

If disappointed that you can't spec a 90 with leather seats, or air suspension

particularly the seats, I suppose id have to get the fabric ones re trimmed, as finding a leather set take off will be hard

also the 90 only comes with the 200 hp engine, from what ive read the 250 and 300hp fitted in the 110 are the same engine, so Im hoping that the 200 can be chipped to 250 or in fact 300 ?

im after a commercial, as im a VAT registered business

The D200 engine is fine, the D3 made do with 190hp and yes it has storage under the floor.

United Kingdom 2006 Defender 90 Other HT Tonga Green
It will have bags of power just restricted, will be a real smooth ride no strain on the engine at all. I’m actually looking forward to this straight 6 engine I’ve always liked 6 cylinder.

its a commercial, im self employed, so im not having it supplied to me as a company car on a scheme

and I'm in horticulture / agriculture, so having a 4x4 / van is always a reasonable business vehicle, so there's no issue there

yeah similar, eiger grey, went for silver because I always thought it looked sharp on the old X TECH 90's

and the lower bumper sections being silver they will match better, as on the eiger grey one I think id have to have them sprayed to match

and mud flaps, and wheel arches

I mentioned I could do with it before end of financial year (31/3/21)

The reply was that should be okay ?

Something else worth knowing is that:-

it would also seem as if the 90 commercial is NOT light enough to be classed as a "Dual purpose Utility" and will ,therefore be subject to VAN speed limits.

call from dealer, my hard top 90 was built today (on schedule) and was given a chassis number at 11.20 am,

so at least it wasn't a Friday afternoon build !

apparently once it shows on system with a chasiss number that means it actually exists

fingers crossed
