Missing thermostat house !
Hi All.

I have been having some trouble with the LaRo overheating ( havent found a solution yet) and was talking to Land Rover in Denmark.

They sended me a workshop manual picture that shows a thermostat hous, that i dont have on my engine !

Should i mount one and the hope the issue about overheating is solved or will it not solve the overheating.

Its a 2.4 tdci engine. Defender 110 Puma 2.4 tdci

I suggest that you put up a copy of the workshop manual that they sent you on here.

My guess is that the LR people you have spoken to don’t know what they are talking about or have misunderstood the details.

The thermostat on a 2.4 tdci is on the left hand side of the radiator. It’s a Y shaped plastic item.

I know, i have already changed that, but they tell me theres 2 thermostat, and the other one is the one mounted on the engine !!

im a little confused about it. Some pictures on the web shows the engine with the thermostat and some dont ! Defender 110 Puma 2.4 tdci

Maybe the housing is there but the thermostat has been taken out?
