Starting problem
If I leave the car overnight when I try to start next day it starts immediately, Leave for two days and it takes two to three seconds to start. However leave for a week and it can take three or four attempts each attempt lasting about three or four seconds.

The strange thing is when it does start on the third or forth attempt it starts immediately. The battery is good and easily turns the engine over until it starts. Any suggestions anyone.
Thanks

potential fuel leek sounds like there is no fuel on start up hence why its ok after one day but longer after being standing . can you here the pump running if so see how much longer it runs for after being stood a few days before starting Question

Could also be the starter motor on its way out...lots have had this issue....I'd recommend replacing it with a Bosch one Thumbs Up

Dont think theres an electric pump on a 2.4. Could be a leak giving an air lock though or dodgy / not tightened filter?

Correct, no electric pump on a 2.4.

I have just had a heap of things checked for a similar intermittent starting problem.
One is the sensor and valve at the end of the fuel rail.
The second, which cleared the problem, was the fuel pressure valve that is on the fuel pump, simple unplug old one, plug new one in, cost about £90 though.
