The boomslang loom would be best fused in-line and powered by the alternator stud.
The Amperage current rating of the block will be on the box. You’ll need a cable with a current rating exceeding the fuse box rating but fused nearest the power source with a fuse rated lower than the cable max current draw and not exceeding the block. So say you have a fuse block with a current rating of 100A, I would use cable with a current capacity of at least 120A and fused at 100A or 80A. This is an example only and is purely defined by the fuse block current rating only. For the size of the fuse box you mention it maybe 50A rated or similar rating. It will be on the rear of the box. If you don’t have the box, look up the model number of the fuse box on the BS site. It will be listed somewhere. You will be able to find the correct mm2 or AWG gauge of cable size by using online current calculators. Updated cable to a bigger size is better. |
