[Wanted] Td5 Sump
Gathering things together for my rebuild during which I want to address the two leaks from my Td5. One leak is the rear of the sump gasket and the other is from the rotary filter drain because the threads on the sump studs are damaged so it cant be properly tightened.

Does anyone have a Td5 sump spare please? Dont think there is any difference between D2/Def/15p or 10p engines. Ebay ones seem a bit steep!

Thanks

Mine are bolts on a 15p engine but they do strip quite easily as they are only 10Nm.
When I had mine off last time I stopped before the correct torque as it felt like it was going to let go.
Luckily it’s ok and doesn’t leak.
If studs can you not replace the studs rather than change the sump?
If the thread has striped in the sump a helicoil should work fine. Defender Td5 Commercial 2002

Fair point, hadnt looked at removing the studs!

Will investigate further, it is the thread where the nuts go which has gone so swapping them out would solve the issue i think. If not i can helicoil i guess.

Cheers!
