Netherlands 2012 Defender 130 Puma 2.2 HCPU Buckingham Blue
Engine temperature dropping significant at idle
Hi in heavy traffic or at stilstand the engine temperature is dropping to its lowest point.
Ambient temperature is around12 deg C

I fought I noticed haditations too.

What could be wrong?

Could be your thermostat is stuck open, and the engine can't get up to usual operating temprature?

I shouldn't worry the difference between low and high on the gauge represent about 3 degrees centigrade, The fan and radiator are doing what they are supposed to do. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

It is OK if the temperature drops a bit, but not to its lowest point. Check if the EGR cooler is not leaking. This happened to me some years ago and I was experiencing the same symptoms. Defender 110 SW MY2011 2.4tdci decat, no EGR
