Fuel filter looks fresh, have a look at the oil filter down below the turbo, they soon look tatty if they haven’t been changed for a while and this is a good gauge when assuming maintenance schedules. 2006 TD5110 station wagon

My dad or should I say my mum uses a 200 TDI for general use, and they have no trouble at all with him. Sounds like a transit or a tractor to me, but that's me. They love it to pieces! Not a bad engine to work on either, just make sure its serviced and your laughing! Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

looks to be all there, could be a factory re-engine job, ie a complete kit, as the fan housing is even correct. Most retro fits don't even have a fan housing, or even have a belt driven fan, but use an electric one, as the engine is in a different place.
Having said that, I believe its a Disco lump, as the turbo is high up, I believe the Defender 200 tdi engine had a much lower turbo mounting. 'Volvo XC 70, taking the rough with the smooth’ |

^^^ other way around wasn't it?
Defender the turbo was high up, idisco low down My factory new 200Tdi had the same turbo and (flimsy) heat shield as that one above. |
