6 years paint warranty? I thought it was 3 years paint and surface corrosion, and 6 years corrosion (i.e. holes)

You can try, but doubt rusty hinges stand a chance to be accepted for the LR warranty. That said, there are other perfect and permanent solutions for that problem. Ask Brendan from 4x4 Overlander, a site sponsor here.
Eric You never actually own a Defender. Sulisuli - I have been to the LR dealer few times before I am more of an annoying customer I’d say

Is there a Time Square style countdown clock at JLR for the end of the last warranty period

That may make it harder for you, they may take the opinion you have been an annoying customer with all due respect. Let us know how you get on, good luck. 2015 HT XS 90 2008 SVX 90 2000 XS TD5 90 |

I got a new window frame fitted in my final month of the 6 year warranty, so worth taking to the dealer if you have specific issues.

I think it is if they really want to push the point (or highlight the small print). Luckily for me, they didn't. As the six years from end of production nears, I expect we will see a lot of redundant bodyshop workers. Large lucrative money pit comes to a close. |
