That should include Trump and those "stupid" Americans. It isn't necessary to denigrate the intelligence of those you oppose. |

What on earth gave you that idea? Donald Trump is not a good businessman and his mediocre success has nothing to do with his ability to run a company, more to do with his father's name ( ie Trump ). If you throw enough money at ideas, then hopefully one will stick and give you a return...abit like Richard Branson |

Obvious biased view of Trump.
Trump got the media to give him 24/7 news coverage in the 2016 Republican presidential primary. This is basically like free advertising. Some on the left even joked that they hoped he got the nomination to face Hillary. He beat 16 well experienced Republicans in the primary and then beat one of the biggest names in US politics who spent over 2 billion dollars in campaign funds. Not only that but 2 of the most popular presidents in recent history, Obama and Bill Clinton, campaigned for Hillary and she still lost to the "buffoon". Trump isnt the greatest president or businessman, husband or father but he beat the dog  out of the Democrats which is exactly why we elected him. We havnt gotten too far electing the same politicians over and over. This was a message we sent to our representatives.
I honestly dont mind the criticism of Trump, American politics or the electorate. This is quite tame compared to the discourse in the United States. |

There will always be difficulties discussing Mr Trump in a civilised environment because his extremist views provoke a reaction. He is truly Marmite, people love him or hate him. Nothing inbetween. Also his choice of language using slander and childish insults often in broken English set the tone of any discussion. His tweets alone would see him banned from an internet forum such as this.
There are obviously many talking points with Trump but the most obvious to me is his how untrustworthy he is due to his incessant lies. Trump doesn't just lie like an impeached President say Nixon or Clinton, he has taken it to a whole new level never seen before. Now that isn't my opinion it's an indisputable fact. In 730 days he has told 8158 porkies. The scale is staggering and utterly mindblowing. As far as I can tell there can only be a few reasons for all of his lies. A. He is deliberately misleading the American people. B. He has a mental issue causing compulsive lying. C. He has a mental issue and doesn't know he's lying. D. All or a mixture of the above. My guess is D but I'm open to suggestions.. |

OK, I'll go ägainst the flow here, because I'm not totally anti Trump.
Everyone knows what He's done or hasn't done so you guys & everyone else will make up their minds about him. Me, I'm sick of "Lefties" & "Do-Gooders", we've got ém in Aus, like everywhere else, and so I like some of the things He's done. He's strong on border security too, which I'm told (too many EU people coming into UK taking jobs & welfare etc), is why many voted for Brexit. Not saying any or all criticism against Donald ain't warranted, just that IMHO he has also done good stuff....haven't heard about any rockets coming out of N.Korea lately, nor has Syria used poison gas of late. I think the Iranians are being pretty careful about what they do lately also. Pickles. |

Not at all, it doesn’t take long to get a picture of his business history & failures from archives before the presidential run ( ie not biased because he was running for the top job ).
Is that not what I said? I feel that the tide is turning in voting and social awareness of politics. Brexit showed this as well as the American presidency vote and politicians all over were caught with their pants down on both sides of the pond. Trump wasn’t the best candidate for this new venture unfortunately. |

Your opinion of Trump is safe and aligns well with the media and entertainment giants. You'll likely never get spit on or urine bottles thrown at you for safe opinions. The status quo is always the safest option. Stay tuned to popular stations for all the latest outrage that Trump has done.

16,141,241 remain voters That’s small margin and alot of people that do not want to muddle through. Was life so bad we needed to risk our freedom of movement and wealth. Is this country so bad we need to get on a small boat and risk our families lives! I strongly doubt anyone on this forum is truly poor or hard up. Most own a 15k plus Landrover probably more than one which uses a lot of fuel. So I do not understand why we would risk our future. It might work out ok, it probably will. But was it worth the risk. If your retired how can you risk the wealth of your children and the next generation. If it’s hard times a head, it will be my generation that works us out of the mess. Jaguar Landrover certainly do not care they have already taken production abroad with more to follow. |

Change has an element of risk though?
I wasn’t old enough to understand the risk/outcome of us joining the EU in the first place, but it would be interesting to find out if the UK went through a similar scenario/period of doubt etc |

Yes, I remember the heated debates that went on resulting in the referendum in '75 and beyond. Difference is that discussions back could only be had within your social / work / education circles or by writting to the newspapers or participating in one of the few phone in radio programmes. Instantly and cheaply reaching out to a large audience via the internet or social media was just not possible. Steve. Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades.
