swann are pretty decent, its relatively simple and you can get an app so you can view your cams on your phone. I'm on IG: https://www.instagram.com/osloblue42/

Arlo Pro 2, if you can a) stomach the price, and b) have fast broadband. Best system I’ve ever used, and it’s wirelss too, so incredibly flexible.

I've replaced a few swann systems. As I mentioned in a previous post... swann is "ok"... just that... "ok"

We've had a Hikvision system for a year or so, which seems to be ok. I find the software a bit clunky but it's not something that you have to play with every day. Darren

+1 for HIK Vision (and +1 for slightly clunky software).
We have the 8 camera system and NVR and having got it set up it hasn’t missed a beat for two years (and when we’ve needed it the recording has come up with the goods - clear, quick and the software will search for faces, number plates etc.). I installed a Hikvision IP POE setup at my property a couple of months back (https://www.cctvkits.co.uk/hiwatch-by-hikvision-1-4-camera-4mp-ip-cctv-camera-kit-builder.html)
I got it from www.cctvkits.co.uk and used discount code vwforum for 6% off I found the company good to deal with. I called them beforehand for some advice around lens focal length - they were very helpful. Kit was delivered quickly. |

I can recommend cam-sec ltd, mostly because Phil is a member on this forum! http://www.defender2.net/forum/member-300tdi-csw-phil.html
