End of 3 year factory warrantee...
I am pretty sure this has been covered before...

It's amazing to think that nearly 3 years ago, I took delivery of my lovely Keswick Green Defender 90! Touching wood, I have had no issues at all, aside from having the output shaft replaced as a precaution...

So, after only 11,000 miles, any things that I should get the dealer to check over carefully before my warrantee ends?

Cheers guys,

Pete :>) YOLO... You Only Live Once...

After only 11 0000 miles there shouldn't be much wrong.

Check for corrosion, suspension bushes, corrosion, oil leaks, corrosion, paint issues and err... Corrosion Rolling Eyes

Just seen you had the output shaft changed already! That must be one of the lowest milage changes yet. Did it have any signs of a problem?

LOL Martin! Just 'converting' my 18,000 km's into 'miles' as I am in the UK right now! Back soon, will give you a call :>)

The output shaft was replaced under warrantee as it was 'clunking' a bit. It was a precautionary change, the dealer was happy to do this which was very good. When it came out, there was some sign of wear... btw, it had also been greased from the factory! (Mid 2015 build)

What is the situation with the rear crossmember paint 'fading'? I have heard some have managed to get theirs re-painted under warrantee?

Fortunately, no corrosion in Australia to worry about... although a few guys on AULRO have had issues with vehicles living outside near the ocean... YOLO... You Only Live Once...

Pete, did the driveline "clunk" become any less after the replacement?
I only ask because, there was no difference in driveline "noises" before & after with Gracie.
I just thought that the small amount of play existing before failure would not be the sort of "play" to produce "clunking" noises,...well it didn't in our case, just failed without any notice, and there was no change in transmission slack, clunking etc after replacement.
Rear crossmember?....We kept Gracies regularly "lubricated" with coatings of WD40, which kept it like new!
Regards, Martin.

Yes, a lot less clunking!

Definitely made a difference.

WD40... i recall you did that!

Q... do you still have that spare set of alloys you bought for Gracie? Interested in getting a set for mine!

Cheers mate! YOLO... You Only Live Once...

No, I let everything go with Gracie, too hard to shift otherwise sometimes, but had I known you were interested in a set, I would've let you know. Ripper wheel for a late Defender IMHO.
Martin.

I had my rear crossmember repainted under warranty and was lucky as they did it in gloss black to match the colour of my 110Xs Utility which is Santorini Black.
