Hi,

Does anyone use Ashcroft front and rear lockers with Motul 75W-140? Comments please?

140W is way too heavy for use in temperate zones. It will tax your engine and cause a lot of drag. I know this because I have done it. Switched it out for 90W promptly.

Maybe someone from the equator can respond.

I used Motul 300 75W90 for the gearbox and transfer box and Motul 75W140 for the axle. After I put the new oil it seems to me that a lot of noises has gone. It does not mean that there is not nose, it is still a Defender but I feel the car much different.

I forgot to mention that I also changed the engine oil. It was Castrol 5W30 LL and now is Castrol 5W30 C1.
