2006 Defender 90 Td5 XS CSW Santorini Black
Double DIN stereo
Anyone know I'd there is enough room to squeeze a double-DIN stereo in the late model '06 consoles? ... Mine has that gunmetal grey fascia with an almost double-DIN faceplate surrounding the factory/visteon cd head unit ...

Thanks

Jon

I thought about doing this. It can be done, but will require some modifications to fit. The hole isnt a double din size.

In the end, i didnt do at, as a decent double din unit worked out expensive.

I went for a Kenwood KIV-700 with the optional Bluetooth addition and it works like a treat.

Even the Bluetooth phoncalling works well, which i wasnt expecting considering the noise level.

As said above, East Coast Rover have a breakdown of what they did. Current:D4 HSE
