2014 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Corris Grey

[For Sale] Project 90! SOLD

Having considered all my options, I've decided to give up hope on either have time to restore my old girl, or having the money to get someone to do it for me.

It's a 1990 H plate Land Rover 90, 2.5 diesel Hard Top with side windows.
I used it 2 or 3 times a week until it's last MOT ran out late 2016.

I didn't bother putting it in for an MOT, as I knew it needed work to pass.

It's been looked over a few times, and needs:

New Drivers Footwell panel
New passenger Footwell panel
New Rear quarter chassis
New battery box under seat
..... as a minimum - but all available at YRM Metals for very sensible money!

Since it's been standing, the already tired tyres have perished and would benefit from replacement. The hub seals have also started leaking. Of course, having stood for nearly 18 months, I'm sure there will be more!

The bodywork is all straight and original. All paint is faded, but original, and polishes up quite well! The door bottoms are rusty as they are original doors.

It will need to be trailered or trucked away. I'm in Romsey, Hampshire.

Viewing is welcome on Wednesdays or Sundays which are my days off work.

I'd like £2000 as a minimum.

Here's a pic of the footwells front inside & out (drivers side rusty, passenger side no longer rusty, as it's a hole!) YRM metals havebthe extended repair panels for about £40 each.

The Rear crossmember is shot, I was advised to replace quarter chassis, or use crossmember with extensions for longevity of repair. I found one for £145 - https://www.racpartsltd.co.uk/product-page...-with-legs

There will undoubtedly be more issues with it, but these are the ones I know, along with the battery box (there is very little ofntge bottom of the box left - but a replacement is available for under £100 at YRM.

it needs to be seen really - someone with a technical knowledge could have it refurbed and looking good for £1000-1500 I reckon. Currently....... all gone...... pending delivery of a mid life crisis.......

I got it in Feb 16 with a view to doing it up, repainting it and soft topping it.

The guy I bought it from had owned it since it was a few years old, and used it as his daily truck until the day he collected a new one from Matfords in Exeter, reckoning that another 20 odd years with the new one would see him out.

Everything was done to it that was required, it was just at that point where he decided to buy a new last off the line replacement instead of having a big refurb job done on this. Currently....... all gone...... pending delivery of a mid life crisis.......
