Definitely wider than 2.8mm, it is not a Superseal.

I think that the pump is an AC Delco design, and the connector is (I think) an AC Delco or Standard design, the GM part looks very similar - indeed the pump used on GM vehicles looks the same.

it is entirely possible that Ford used AC Delco pumps and hence the same connector.

I will provide measurements later in the day.

The dimension in the picture above is 32.5mm, the outside width on the minor axis is 17.3mm, and the tabs are 6.3mm.

You will have noticed the registration or key lug on the outside in the 10 o'clock position, I am sure.

Thank you for your help. Thumbs Up

Fantastic, many thanks! Thumbs Up

For the benefit of anyone looking fof this connector in the future, it's an Econoseal 250 Series connector.

What a great forum this is!

You'd be surprised. My Rover Mini has VW bits and GM bits on it. The headlamp leveling plugs for example (also used on the Defender), look at the rubber boots, they have VW, Audi logos on them. The coil pack is straight from a Citroen Saxo and the charcoal canister and fuel pump are from a Corsa, complete with GM branding. It seems Rover raided everyone's parts bins, not just their own.

Sorry, I've only just seen this.

Yes, it's an Econoseal 250 series connector, same as used on late D1, and D2 heated windscreens.

Simtek sell them - but only with terminals and seals for 0.5-1.0mm² cable -

I've got them with terminals and seals for up to 3.0mm² cable Thumbs Up Paul.

+1.... my old 200Ti defender (original factory) had a Ford glowplug timer socket (and timer I think)
