Thought I would share this painting that was a surprise gift. Not supposed to accept gifts but couldn't turn this one down Wink

It's actually pretty good on the detail from a painter that only recently was introduced to Defenders.

The beach the truck is on is a place called Tofino. Worth a visit if you are ever in British Columbia!

Great thread! Thumbs Up Love the way you have colour coded the bumpers as well, makes a huge difference IMO to the look of the front. Great workshop as well btw. Bow down

The rack is great for the tent. The roll cage has been key to convincing my wife it is safe enough for family road trips Neutral 1999 Defender 110

The latest upgrade has been the the dynachip remap.

I did a lot of reading on this forum and they seemed to get universally good reviews.

I'm not sure what the issues are with other remaps. There has been no issues with smoke or increased temperatures with the oil, coolant or exhaust (madman gauge).

The turbo does sound as if it is activated a bit more now. Fuel economy is about the same as before.

The power difference is significant. I no longer feel like I'm driving an old school bus. The biggest issue is reminding myself that it's a Defender and not a sports car. Offroad going slow up steeper inclines has been much easier with less stalling of the engine.

Time will tell regarding warping of the manifold. Will need to keep an eye out on that one... 1999 Defender 110

The rear door has seen better days...

I have started the process of collecting parts to put in a puma door.

I will have to change my existing wheel carrier that will fit the new configuration.

Haven't posted in a while! Truck doing so well. It's amazing how once you get through the early upgrades and repairs how reliable they become..
