2005 TD5 possible Clutch slip in 5th at 30mph
Sorry to be a pain but on way home I over took a scooter at 30 mph I was on the flat without gradient but I was in 5th (lazy me I know) as I accelerated past him my clutch seemed to slip when the boost came on then settle when up to speed, then again when I took my foot off of the throttle and then floored it same thing again?.
Didn't happen in 4th when I dropped it down and floored it either?.

My truck has been remapped about a year ago but I've never noticed this problem before.

Only done 56k miles!!!

I did have it serviced last weeekend but neither the clutch or gearbox oil was touched.

Any advice please. It's more important to concentrate on what's ahead of you than what you have left behind.

Yes, it's entirely possible, particularly since you've had it re-mapped. Essentially, the torque of the engine is overcoming the grip of the clutch plate due to the excessive load you put on it. The high gearing in 5th means the load resistance to move the vehicle is greater.

The easy solution is to not be so lazy with changing down a gear, but if the problem persists then it's possible that you've exposed a wear problem with the clutch. Darren

Oh great! Someone has also told me to adjust the clutch pedal too now I'm proper miffed.

Also checked fuel pressure regulator and no leaks onto bell housing dry as a bone so now maybe adjust clutch pedal first?.
