It has never had oil in the loom as far as we are aware- certainly not in the time we have owned it (3 and a bit years and 35,000 miles)
I checked the plug when we viewed it- no oil present then, and I immediately changed the injector loom when I serviced it shortly after purchase to be sure that it had one of the improved ones fitted. Im struggling to think what else it can be and options are becoming limited as to whet else to try, I had the FPR off about 18 months ago and I'm pretty certain the filter was clean then (I don't remember it being dirty so I assume it was clean- also it has been delivering consistent fuel pressure when on diagnostics. When the new crank sensor was fitted did you fit the shim under it ?
There was a recall many years ago about the shim being missed on build. Bob 2015 Jaguar XE240 R Sport - goes like ....... !! 2013 Defender 90 CSW - sold 2009 Defender 110 Double Cab - sold 2001 TD5 90 CSW - offroad project - sold to a forum member 2011 Porsche Boxster - for the sunny days ! |
