TDCi bulkhead with Td5 dash?
Had a search, but can't find what I'm looking for Embarassed

Having seen my original bulkhead, I'd really like to fit a new TDCi part. One less thing to leak/rust Rolling Eyes
With the amount it's about to have spent on it, I don't want any leaks , or rust to appear, so a new TDCi bulkhead makes the most sense, without the bulkhead flaps

But, I want to retain the Td5 dash, and use the bulkhead only. Is it as simple as it sounds? Laughing

I think you can just put the td5 dash in and not the flap mechanisms. I'm pretty sure I've seen a puma dash on a tdi bulkhead so the reverse swap must be possible? 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

I am sure there are additional holes and some of the other holes, heater for example is different. Someone more upto date on modern defenders will know exactly. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html

Why not weld in vent flaps on a Td5 bulkhead and then galvanize it? No more vent leaks, and it's never going to rust. it's a Landrover thing...

There are a few differences:

Wiper motor relocated higher in puma
Studs for puma dash brace are welded in place,
Heater blower aperture is slightly different,
Hole in passenger footwell for recirc,
Holes for aircon/heater box may be in different places,
Latest bulkheads have dpf cutout in drivers footwell (not an issue as such).

They are all only really minor things but do add up. Also worth noting that my experience has been adding a 2016 bulkhead to fit a 1984 vehicle with a 300tdi...

Interestingly, the inner skin still has the cutouts for the vents, so they wouldnt be hard to add them back into the bulkhead. Just need to fabricate the hinges and a couple of internal brackets.

Hope it helps.
