Strange MOT advisories
My '12 90 Ht had its MOT the week gone and on the print out (not really a cert' anymore Evil or Very Mad ) I had an advisory that my front tyres had just 4mm of tread remaining (been tow-out in the past so just on the inside shoulder) Shocked Shocked

Luckily he's a friend so I was able to rib him something chronic 😂

What's your strangest MOT advisory??

We've had a few commenting that the clutch pedal rubber is worn on the farm pickup.

Our lifting equipment gets inspected every 6 months and we regularly have a faulty horn as an advisory on one of the telehandlers.

The young apprentice at the Independent were mine is tested came up to me a couple of years ago to tell me the same, my reply was that I had removed it like all other land rover owners as it was a redundant part. His face was a picture. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

The army carry out an MEI (military equivalent of MOT) on their fleet, I had these failures on some of the land rovers I was ment to repair:

Front tow pin missing - fail (this item is only issued when the vehicle is signed for)
Land Rover badge on rear missing - fail
Park brake light inop -fail (I challenge anyone to find a switch and cable on a Wolf for the trans brake)
Seat ripped - fail

Then I managed to find things like loose drop arms, crank bolt in by two threads, bearings that had more play than a plaything playing at play time. I do somethings worry about some inspectors in the army. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html
90 V8 - Maggie http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic42564.html

D3 Hse - Fiona
Capri 2l S - Anna

Think I might have a problem............

I've had them tell me the (double sided) wheeinuts on the S1 were all the wrong way round. I asked them to swap them back - at least they only did one! Rolling with laughter

I had rear seats insecure (they were folded forwards).
Rear seat belts not fitted (under a jacket)

The same MoT missed the broken UJ mind...

Used the same chain but a different location for the FF and the only comment was nice to see one of these being used properly, oh and I'm sure you know but you use the brakes quite heavily... Ed
