United Kingdom 1999 Defender 110 Td5 SW Caledonian Blue
Bulkhead vent flap seals
Is there a better option than the LR foam seals? (and dont suggest, expanding foam, sikaflex or sealing them up) Smile or are foam seals the only option? 1999 Defender TD5 110

Scotland 2007 Defender 90 Td5 HT Zambezi Silver
haven't done it to my 90 yet but many years ago i had the problem of the vents leaking on a 110 CSW, remove the two small screws that hold the vent to the lever and swing it up, clean the seal and the bulkhead and cover all round the vents with plenty of Vaseline, put a layer of sikaflex on the foam seal, refit the flap to the lever and close the vent, the Vaseline stops it sticking to the bulkhead, but leave it 1 notch short of fully closed and leave to set overnight, and you have a custom fit seal. nobody is perfect but being Scottish is a start
