Its a magnificently imposing and deeply spritual place that one! A small piece of Canada in Europe. 2010 Range Rover MkIII Autobiography Super Charged (Idris)

Been there a number of times.....most recently a few months ago with friends who were visiting us from Canada..sadly they have cut the the underground tours by about a half meaning you miss some of the great deep tunnelling equipment and side spurs and various other bits. I was told they had insufficient staff and too many visitors to continue running the full length underground tours.
Next year is the 100th anniversary of Vimy, so planning another trip there with the family.
Peace to all those who perished in that conflict.

Yes, the tunnel tours length was a bit disappointing but interesting nonetheless.

My old man was the Secretary General of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and was reponsible for Vimy and all Canadian war grave sites all around the globe. He was very fortunate to have had many personal tours by grounds keepers. I was too busy to accompany him on those ones but am glad to have visited many other sites. A very moving experience. 2010 Range Rover MkIII Autobiography Super Charged (Idris)
