2.2 Exhaust Note
Hi Guys,

I have a 2.4 with straight through exhaust and it sounds great for a transit engine! My friend has a 2.2 and wants to make it sound better. Concious he cannot go straight through because of DPF, he has already taken out all other silencers but is no real louder. Is there any way of making it louder - I love the wastegate chatter on my 2.4 but his is very quiet!

Thanks

Sam

^^^^ Is that a Bowler though? Or just a look alike?
If it is a Bowler it'll be 170hp IIRC anyway do they'd make it sound better anyway regardless of the exhaust.

Was the OP's friend's 2.2 standard or tuned?

I've always been tempted by the Alive version but I couldn't justify the cost, not that I doubt it's quality and worth it but I just can't justify it now.

That Bowler styled vehicle sounds good! Do we know what he has done to it? My friends is remapped and cat back exhaust. Maybe dpf has to come out! Induction sounds a lot better so I suspect air box mod?

induction is a unrestricted pipe, unsure as to what airbox is in there though, maybe a better high flow one, it will definitely not have a DPF in there though to make that noise.
