Fuel filter box- MAF area missing pipe

On taking out the air filter from the box and disconnecting the corresponding pipe that runs into the box, does anyone know what this small pipe running by the box is ?? I can't find where to put it back into ? It presumably has fallen out of the box/pipe...

Any ideas what it is and where it goes back to ? 2001 Td5 CSW (weekend and snow mobile) Plenty of lights, M/T tyres EGR delete, roofrack, swing away wheel carrier, snorkel.

Could be an axle breather pipe, is it solid plastic or rubber? Ray

That plugs into the air filter box just beside the sensor (near red arrow in picture).

Would be a vacuum line being there. Getting air sucked in when the engine is running. Probably for the EGR valve solenoid??? Not sure. 2010 Range Rover MkIII Autobiography Super Charged (Idris)
