Probably needs a new pedal and potentiometer assembly. When you press the pedal it sends a voltage to the ECU - if the ECU recieves a signal out of it's expected range it will show a fault. It's a five minute job to change. My blog - www.anacreinhampshire.blogspot.co.uk

First check that there is no oil in the red ECU plug, this is the normal cause of this problem. If there is no oil then it could be the pedal its self or the wiring. If you do order a new pedal remember there are 2 different types so get the right one, they swapped in 2002, There is the 2 track type (pre 2002) and the 3 track type (post 2002).

Yeah it's oil in loom coming from engine. Spending day putting injector harness on and cleaning loom before it breaks ecu. Thanks for advice!
