led indicators and hazard light not working
Something strange happened to my defender.

My indicators stopped working as a fuse had blown. I changed the fuse but then I found I had problems with the hazard switch. I had to repeatedly tap it to make it work.

A few days later I've no lights, no hazards and no lights on the alarms.
I've replaced a shed load of fuses (2 in the alarm, one in the normal fuse box and another under the drivers seat) and the alarm flashers work again but the hazard and indicators do not. I've stripped down the hazard switch and I can make the rdx relay click once ( i have led lights) and get the trailer light up but that is all that happens.

Both of my alarms make the indicators flash the correct number of times so I don't appear to have a ongoing short. 2014 - current ..... 2003 defender td5 90 (my car)

Forgot to add...

I'd especially check the main earth straps to chassis underneath.
Remove them, clean and re-tighten.

LED's are a lot more sensitive to poor earths and voltage drop by nature, a poor earth connection can cause all sorts of odd issues.

Had the same problem last week. Was the relay, moisture drips onto it and it'll work intermittently/partially, swap it for a known good one and check again.

Thanks for your help guys. It was the relay. Got a new led variable do dah from the local indie landy place.
I broke the hazard switch opening it up to clean it as I'd been having problems with that too.

New one on order and due in tomorrow. 2014 - current ..... 2003 defender td5 90 (my car)
