sliding fan control switch
I've removed the instruments to change out the 2 speed fan control switch but there's also a cable at the base of the unit that moves as you slide the lever. Does anyone know what this does ?

That means my cunning plan of replacing the sllder with a rocker switch won't work..... rats !!
