Guernsey 1998 Defender 90 300 Tdi HT Nato Green
For me I like the rims but they don't go with the defender.

Out of interest what are the weight ratings on the rims? I know several times people have used other manufactured rims and they are underweighted for the vehicle they put them on. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html

Whilst taste is a personal thing, and this wouldn't be my choice is practicality not an important factor also? A couple of years ago I did some consultancy for a major car franchise dealer, as part of this I spent the day at various main dealers within their different franchises. One thing I was shocked buy was out of the three Bentley's in for a service two of them had buckled wheels, the engineers said it was a common issue with our roads being in the state that they are, but a new wheel was small change to the owners so nobody seemed to mind that they were not that strong.

I would therefore think that sticking them on a defender with harder suspension albeit on a lighter car was just asking for trouble?

With the gross kerb weight of a Bentley weighing in at approximately 1000KG more than a 90 and with a top speed of 205mph and the fact the Defender will be never off-roaded I think they'll be fine!

I would suggest that 3" lowering springs would result in severely restricted suspension travel,...almost on the bump stops?

With Bentley alloys I am guessing this will never go off road Pickles. 2016 D4 HSE

With Bentley alloys I am guessing this will never go off road Pickles.

Even on the road, this is going to mean "very little" suspension travel,..hitting any sort of bump/undulation at any sort of speed will cause the vehicle to hit the stops and result in a very poor ride......IMHO.
