Td5 taking its time to start
TD5 up until last night would start in an instant.. However this morning it took 3 long bursts and much pumping of accelerator befor it wheeled into life... Eventually settling down into regular tick over. Runs fine, no smoke just starting issue. local guru suggested injector seals.. Not sure how they can go in an instant? I am beginning to think the simple solutions a re where it's at...the fuel pump has always sounded like a cat gargling with froth.. How do you check correct pressure... And if I do remove injectors do I need a computer to refit them and a hammer to remove them? Ta

Injector seals are very common, and relatively easy and cheap to replace Thumbs Up

As long as you keep the injectors in order, you won't need any reprogramming

How strange... my Td5 also did something similar this morning for the first time. Never had an issue before. Will watch with interest...

Install a non return valve in fuel line as when pumps wear it allows fuel to run back 2008 110 2.4 XS Utility (Hagrid)

Glow plugs may want checking, I'm no expert but might be worth it as their very purpose is to aid cold starting.

Regardless of this injectors is of course another possibility but just thought I'd add the above.
