This was in the box I parts I got back from the rebuild of my LT77 and LT230. I'm at a loss.

Hi,

This is the speedo drive collar, fits in the housing behind the handbrake backplate

That is the oil drip catcher that goes under the transferbox rear output seal inside the handbrake drum. There should also be a corresponding notch in the handbrake backplate and transfer box casting to allow any oil drips to run to the outside of the handbrake assembly rather than contaminating all the handbrake surfaces.

I have just bought one and retro-fitted it to my early 300tdi as Landrover appear to have dropped it from the design at some point?
