Inside the facia at the Left (for you RHD, on the right for me LHD) of the fuses door

Cleaned the internal surface from the dust and used 3M professional biadhesive tape. Job done!!!

Just a wee add.

I've spent ages fitting the Nakatenanga kit over the last few days. Actually it is quite easy to fit, but the instructions are not at all easy to decipher! A decent set of instructions would have allowed me to do it in around 1.5 hours, but it took ages.

Having said that, the Naka kit seems VERY good. I only used it briefly so far, but I really like some of the features (like 2 "set" buttons so you can get the system to memorise 2 speeds, and immediately resume to one or the other).

If anyone buys the Naka kit (from Brendan I hope) I'm happy to PM my experiences to help with the install Thumbs Up

Pickles,
All going to plan I should have one from Mobile Centre fitted by the end of next weekend.
Hopefully you can see it at the end of the month in Ferntree Gully. Cheers,
Kyle.

Cruise all fitted.
The rain washed our work out so I got given 2/3 night off with access to the big workshop it was to good an opportunity to waste.

Numbers are slowly building for our social day but feel free to post and ask who's going.
If I start a new thread it'll get merged fairly quickly into the existing thread. Cheers,
Kyle.

Thought I'd through a picture up of my switch fitted to the left of the column.
I fitted it where the headlamp switch mounts.
I slipped a old nut over the cruise switch shaft and found a wire grommet that fitted around the nut and into the cowl.
With this set up the switch is solid as it's onto the steel panel not the plastic.

The headlamp switch is now on the right side of the column.
There was already a cut out in the steel panel and the cowling had a grove where it needed to be drilled/cut out.
The only issue was the contacts where close to the steel so I did a small modification, as you do.
I had a look and found the power contact, spring and ball where all reversible in the internal block.
All that was needed was a file of 2 little knobs on the internal block.
This allowed the lever to be reversed so when mounted the contacts are now facing up.
The lever works in revere now while the symbol is the correct way around so still looks factory.
Instead of pushing the switch down the column to turn the head lights on I pull it up. Cheers,
Kyle.

Does anybody know (or better still have a photo, showing the location of the speedo plug and which wire is the signal)... Just I've seen quite alot of installs which spice into the loom... This is all fine and well whilst everything is working perfectly...
I'm just looking at making a proper piggy back loom, So the cruise is completely separate...
