Rubber Mount?
Just a quick one. I got my truck back from having some work done, and, as you do, stuck my head underneath and had a quick look around. I noticed that there is a hole in the top of the removable cross member under the gearbox and a corresponding one in the bottom of the gearbox itself. Just wondered if there should be a rubber mount or bush of some sort in there.
I have searched the workshop manual and can see no reference to one but it's just one of those annoying things that I want to find out.
I don't ever remember seeing one before and there are no signs on the metal work of there having been anything there recently but now it's in my head I need to know one way or the other Confused

nope as above nothing goes in there, it could be some sort of transit bolt, like you get in the back of a new washing machine...

Thanks guys, that's put my mind at rest. Just one of those things that once I had seen it couldn't get it out of my mind!

No prize for being the 100th person since 2007 to ask about the Puma phantom gearbox mount on here Laughing Wink

PS. I made the 100th person bit up but it is one of those questions that surfaces quite often Thumbs Up Steve.
